What are motor preferences?

my background in motor signatures and motor preferences

Prashant is an ECB Level 4 Cricket Coach with an MSc in Biomechanics working with a National Team with their players and 2 International Cricket Boards for their Coach Education about Motor Preferences/Motor Signatures with a Cricket Context. Prashant has been working with Motor Preferences for 8 years and is on the Scientific Committee for Motor Signatures.
Matt Brown has studied Motor Signatures for 3 years and has also studied Motor Preferences separately from other organisations making him one of the leading experts in North America

Flow State Coaching

Motor Signatures is about Adaptation of the mind and body to stay in flow state, we move through 4 Motor Skills daily for different reasons and need to allow ourselves to adapt to thrive

Unique Movement Patterns

Each Motor Signature has different Motor Preferences around movement, some people Walk from the Top with the upper body leaning forward (Weight on the forefoot) to create an imbalance used to initiate walking. Others would have their weight on the Midfoot/Heels. We have a leading Shoulder and organise our limbs in relation to the spine differently at different angles.

How To Understand People

Each Motor Profile is associated with different personality types, but have you noticed that your personality changes when you are: Tired, Stressed or Learning? How you view the world changes, we can create Brain maps to show how individuals see the world and from there work out how best to coach them with cueing, practice design and we can also profile their Deep Motivational Drivers which guide us on what we need to be mindful of with language when coaching someone.

OUR passion and OUR mission

Every Motor Signature is unique to the individual, even with the same Motor Profile (16 Combinations) there are Deep Motivational Drivers which effect the morphology of the athlete and pushes them to different brain functions when activated.
Through Motor Signatures I have been able to help people who stutter stop stuttering, help players bowl faster, kick the ball harder, throw with more ease and more. Most importantly it allows people to better understand others in their working environment and as a Motor Sensory Experience you can experience the changes to your mind and body when Positives are said to you, Negatives are said and Subtle changes of language, the key being you can feel the differences rather than read books and assume it makes a difference.
Our Goal as an organisation is to bring Motor Signatures and Motor Preferences out to the global community with support for coaches, teachers, leaders to have experienced practitioners to help guide them on the contextual use of Motor Signatures.
We can run courses anywhere in the world and if you would like to host one please do get in touch or to find out more about what we do and what Motor Signatures and Motor Preferences actually are please view this youtube video between Prashant and one of the Co-Founders of Motor Signatures.

Let's work together on your goals
